Sold: Sharp Lady

Cigar cutter in the form of a woman  /  nickel plated brass / c. 1900

Rare risque nickel plated brass lady cigar cutter, c. 1900. Pressing her jointed legs together closes the cutting blades located in the…ahem…opening in her torso, the action snipping off the tip of one’s cigar or cigarette. Designed as a fob, she would have hung from the pocket watch chain of some ribald gent. Still limber as ever and ready to cut your cigar.

Condition

Good antique condition with spots where the brass shows through and a couple minor dents, including a tiny pinpoint puncture on one side (possibly an original factory defect).

Measurements

2.25 inches tall
1.25 inches wide
