Sold: Art Deco Sign Holder

Art Deco hanging store display placards  / reverse-painted glass, tin / c. 1920s

Antique Art Deco trio of graduated hanging glass and tin placards for mounting paper signs inside a store, c. 1920s. The three panels each have open tops like envelopes, allowing for paper signs to be exchanged as products or sales changed. Sculptural in form, the glass edges of each frame are scalloped to make them sparkle and attract the customer’s eye. Return them to their original use or keep them empty of messaging — the frames are found art as is.
