Writer’s Shaving Mug

Description

Hand-painted with a hand wielding a quill, this occupational shaving mug illustrated the profession of its owner, E.O. Jones, who evidently was a writer, perhaps a teacher.

Barbershops used and displayed these personalized shaving mugs, which made for more hygienic individual shaves as well as a means of self-expression f0r their clientele.
