Description
Cut-down painted watchmaker’s tin sign dating to the turn of the 20th century. Given the snippets of lettering, the original sign would have been enormous, likely covering a good portion of a commercial facade. Signs such as these often only survive in fragments, broken up and used as make-do roof and wall patches. This particular one is happenstance poetry, cut to shards of time denoted as diamonds.
