Flange shop sign in the form of a fish / wrought iron / Friendship, Maine / c. 1920s

Handmade wrought-iron flange trade sign in the form a fish, once mounted to the storefront of a Friendship, Maine fish market, c. 1920s. The stylized fish has an elegant, sparse Art Deco design. The mounts on the tail show evidence of many coats of paint to the shop facade over the years. A great old trade sign in an unusually compact size. Perfect for the home kitchen or seafood restaurant.
