Painted tin toleware tea chest likely from a store, c. 1860s. Vivid original green paint with hand lettering, Neo-Grec borders, and a handsome antique patina. The piece is divided into three compartments, each with a hinged and numbered door a with porcelain pulls. A beautiful and functional object ready to store your morning breakfast, oolong, and chamomile on the kitchen counter.
