Description
Antique pewter 1/2 pint beaker, dated 1826. A victim of an absent-minded cook, the cup was likely forgotten on a hot stovetop two hundred years ago and began to melt, forming a pool at its base. Though long solidified, the less-than-half-pint beaker still seems to sink into itself, like melting ice cream.
