Sold: Fearsome Spikes

Three fearsome bronze spikes, each measuring about 12 inches long and likely from an elaborate fence, c. late 19th century. These would make great hooks to mount on the wall for a hat or coat rack. They originally screwed onto a support, probably a the top rail of an imposing fence. The screw hole would allow for repurposing as hardware for hooks, accoutrements to your medieval torture dungeon, etc. Whether put to a specific use or not, they are impressive objects in their own right, with a beautiful aged vertigris patina.
