Sold: Boxing Playing Card

Antique playing card depicting boxers, c. 1840s. The boxer is green is jonesing of for a fight, while his opponent looks like he’s been dealt an undesirable hand. The figures appear to be hand-colored. The nature of the game is unknown (the mysterious eye in the upper corner perhaps denoted a suit) but it appears to be quite early. The piece is professionally and archivally framed in an antique frame.

Very good antique condition, with typical wear from many games. The frame shows scratches and an antique patina (I thought it was a good fit).
