Description

In case of screaming infant, uncork bottle. This Victorian medicine bottle offered a remedy for the condition it represented as a pain reliever or sleep aid (probably laden with codeine and other questionable ingredients). Marked with a patent date of 1874. An unusually evocative and sculptural piece of of 19th century American glass.
