Sold: Stone Beer Bottle

Antique folk art hand-carved stone miniature beer bottle, Vermont, c. 1900. The stone appears to be pink granite and the piece is no more than two and a half inches tall. The bottle was found in a collection of Vermont stone carvings, including stone books, all likely done by the same carver, who perhaps worked in the famous quarries or gravestone industry in the state. Perhaps he was thinking of his hours off the job when he carved himself a beer?
