Sold: Sledding, 1901

Antique folk art watercolor and pencil drawing of a whimsical winter scene, dated 1901. Careening down a snowy hill on toboggans or sleds, the eccentrically dressed characters look like they’re have a splendid time. Inscribed “When This You See Remember Me,” the piece was surely a gift, perhaps to a sledding companion. In the upper right hand corner the painting is dated February 1901.
