Antique cast iron painted figure of a skunk on a log, c. 1920s. The skunk has fluffy fabric and apparently wire tail, behind which is a mysterious slot in the log. What is its purpose? Squarely in the skunk’s firing line, one may perch an object, perhaps a coin, note, or even a photograph—for purposes known only to the skunk’s master. The voodoo skunk with its black magic miasma awaits your command.
