Sold: Yale Man

Rare antique crepe paper figure of a Yale football player in miniature, c. 1910. At only three inches tall, it’s remarkable such a small and ephemeral object survived a century or more. The Yale man wears an old schol turtleneck football letter sweater and apparently a leather football helmet. He has a handpainted face. The little guy was likely a souvenir given out at college football games, but somehow dodged the linebacker called Time and made it to the present day intact.

Good antique condition, with some discoloration to crepe paper.
