Evocative folk art painting with a unique canvas taking the form of stepped wooden panels chamfered at the edges. At a depth of two and a half inches, the second panel raises the immediate environs of the man and his dog to the forefront, which also seems to heighten the impression of their experience: a moment alone in a still and snowy wilderness.

 

Condition

Old and untouched patina with some surface wear.
