Sold: Victrola Record Pocket Mirror
Pocket mirror advertising a Victrola Talking Machine dealer / celluloid, glass, leather case / c. 1910s
Rare celluloid advertising pocket mirror in the form of a miniature 78 Victrola record, c. 1920. The best kind of commercial kitsch, this little record is “Her Bright Smile Haunts Me Still” by Edward Johnson, released by the Victrola Talking Machine Co. in 1919 and somehow a fitting choice for a little mirror kept close at hand. This inventive trade stimulator advertised the A.B. Clinton C0. at 231 Asylum Street in Hartford, CT, dealers in pianos, player pianos, Victrolas, and records. The pocked mirror retains its original case in excellent condition.
