Hand-carved miniature bone book carved by an Odd Fellow, c. mid-19th century. Thumbnail-wide, the cover of the tiny volume bears the standard of the Odd Fellows, the three-link chain, symbolizing “Friendship, Loyalty & Truth.” A curious and mysterious piece of American folk art.
