Description
Folk art postage stamp decoupage milk glass plate, c. 1890s. Whimsical and surreal, the piece was created with precisely-cut pieces of postage stamps to form the American flag as well as represent the founding fathers (with evocative, dream-like thought bubbles). The piece is one of my favorite folk art objects in recent memory.
