Shirtmaker’s form / wood with brass fittings / c. 1900

 

Antique tailor’s adjustable wooden form for making shirts, c. 1900. The arms lock into place at either side or fold inward. Both the chest and neck can be extended via wing nuts to adjust to the client’s size. A rare form and a strikingly sculptural design which pops on a white wall.
