Description
World War II Civil Defense air raid shelter sign, c. 1940s. Painted wood. Found on Cape Cod, where Federal authorities built infrastructure to prepare for the Nazi bombardment.
Condition
Untouched, weathered condition. A split is visible on one side. Some kids took to it with a pencil some decades back, but it adds to the character and is hardly noticeable.
