Large artist palette  /  mahogany / c. 1910s

Antique oil painter’s artist palette in an exceptional form and large size — nearly two and a half feet long — c. early 20th century. Beautiful, sinuous shape and clearly crafted by a gifted woodworker. Given its impressive breadth, one can imagine its original owner was a well known artist. The palette is still dappled with paint, which makes it into a happenstance abstract painting itself. Ready to hang on the wall or return back once more to the hand of an artist.

Very good antique condition with old patina and plenty of old paint.
