Hand-carved owl / oak / c. 1880s

Antique hand-carved oak life-size owl,  c. late 19th century. Possibly from an Order of Owls fraternal lodge. Wonderfully detailed and stylized. Don’t look too close or you might find yourself transfixed by his whimsical spiral eyes.

Very good antique condition with a tiny old chip at the tip of his left ear.
