Sold: Mother of Pearl Dominoes

Set of boxed dominos / mother of pearl & ebony / c. late 19th century

Rare and fine mother of pearl and ebony dominoes in original fruitwood box lined in crimson velvet, c. 1890s. Complete set of 28 pieces, likely Cuban handicraft. Given the thickness and rich iridescent depth of each mother of pearl slab, one can imagine they were carved from large and ancient shells. Exquisite as both game pieces and objects, these luminescent dominoes with set your games table aglow.

Condition

Very good antique condition, with a few minor chips and one lip of the slide top box missing.
