Miniature globe pencil sharpener / white metal / c. 1910s

Antique pre-World War I miniature pencil sharpening-globe standing at less than four inches tall. Made in Germany. The globe demarcates the Russian Empire — not long for this world, since Germany was sharpening more than pencils when this pocket-sized planet was cast.
