Passamaquoddy hand-woven basket / Maine / dated 1876

Maine Native American Passamaquoddy porcupine basket with removable top. The date May 9, 1876 and the name “C.L. Stoddard” are written in pencil on the bottom. Beautiful and unusual form. A rare survivor.
