Sold: Love Struck
Vintage photograph of a love struck fellow, c. 1920s. Given his uniform, the man was perhaps a postman or a train conductor who took to a photobooth on his lunch break. Cupid has skewered him in this miniature Art Deco reverse-painted glass heart and arrow frame. Did someone frame him as a sweetheart? With his lost gaze and desperate expression, it seems more likely he framed himself for another, and remains hopelessly love struck to this day.
Condition
Photo in good condition, frame time-tossed and showing wear, missing cardboard stand at back. Suitably forlorn.
