Ladylike Place Cards
Folk art place cards / card stock paper, hair, cloth / c. 1910s
Antique folk art place cards made from scissor-cut photographs with applied locks of human hair and styled cloth and ribbon hats, c. 1910s. These eccentric table ornaments were in all likelihood made to represent individual female guests — given that they remain nameless, however, perhaps the ladies’ tea remained as fanciful as these delightfully silly and one of a kind place cards.
