Rare antique chocolate mold in the form an American Indian chief by German maker Anton Reiche of Dresden, c. late 19th century. Extraordinarily detailed down to the feathers in the headdress and details of the pipe, this iconic Indian chocolate mold form no doubt held appeal for both American and European audiences alike. The mold is in an excellent state of preservation, with a gleaming nickel interior, and is original and complete. A rare piece for the Reiche chocolate mold collector and a remarkable object capturing the American ideal designed for consumption both here and abroad.
