Description
Striking folk art sculpture carved from a single block of pine. The three-tiered column is hollowed out to form a heart, anchor, and cross, symbolizing faith, hope, and love, reflecting the words of Paul:
“And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” 1 Corinthians 13:13
Regardless of origin or intent, the piece is a powerful work of folk art sculpture and carries potent symbolism to this day. Found in Maine.
