Paperweight advertising carriage and hearse maker / glass / c. 1890s

Rare antique pictorial glass paperweight advertising the firm of Sievers & Erdman “Carriage & Hearse Builders” of Detroit, Michigan. The paperweight depicts an imposing, ornate horse-drawn hearse with trompe l’oeil hand-carved wooden curtain panels. Great Victorian typography. The best subject I’ve ever seen for this kind of advertising and in near perfect condition.
