Haberdasher’s clothing display / painted wood, leather / c. 1880s

Antique folk art clothes display hanger from a haberdashery with a hand-painted gent, c. late nineteenth century. A shirt or suit would have hung from his torso, making it appear to have a wearer. A marvelous handmade store display.

Good antique condition with some dryness and flaking to leather.
