With its hand-painted “Ghosts of My Friends” cover, this spooky guest book invited visitors to create a “ghost” signature. Each page reveals a hidden spirit within a name, unleashed by signing a with a fountain pen and then folding over the page, creating an ink-blot mirror of the name that takes on an otherworldly skeletal form. The signatures date from 1939 on. A wonderful piece of ephemera and an inspiration for your own guest book perhaps.
