Description

Hand-carved pipe taking a Dutch clay form with incised checkerboard-style decoration of playing card suites and dominos. The bit and lip are carved from horn. A much loved pipe, the piece has a handsome patina from decades of use.

 

Condition

Well-smoked, with worn bit and pipe bowl.
