Sold: Elevator Directionals

Antique bronze illuminated elevator directionals, c. 1920s. The early Art Deco style bronze fixtures would have flanked elevator doors. The stylized up and down arrows are molded from thick, sculptural colored and frosted glass. I had them rewired as wall-mounted sconces using red reproduction cloth-covered cord with old school toggle switches, but they could easily be hard wired into a wall as they were originally. The directionals give off a pleasing warm light, and would be unique nightlights in a bedroom or sconces flanking a bar. I was told they originated from a New York City skyscraper.
