Extraordinary miniature cut paper landscape painstakingly rendered by hand, c. mid-19th century. At only 2.5 inches tall, the piece is one of the finest examples of scherenschnitte — German for the “art of papercutting” — I’ve ever seen with exquisite, seemingly impossible detail. Original frame.
