Description

Antique crazy quilt, c. 1880s. Hand-sewn from hundreds of pieces of scrap silk and velvet fabric, salvaged from dresses and neckties. The folk art quilt is unusual for its combination of patterned and random fabric-placement. It is fitted with fabric eyelets on the reverse for hanging on the wall. The textile has a strikingly contemporary feel with bold, vibrant colors.

Very good antique condition.
