Figural letter opener of an alligator (which holds the blade in its mouth) carved from a single piece of wood. Original polychrome painted dry surface. Signed on underside in pencil: “Hand Carved Letter Opener By E.L. Witham.”

 

Condition

Good with an old chip at end of tail.
