Sold: Biscuit Crate

Antique Portland, Maine biscuit box with colorful nautical themed labels, c. 1890s. “Goudy and Kents Biscuit – Best on the Land – Best on the Sea.” The paper labels are in an excellent state of preservation with wonderful Victorian lettering and vibrant colors, especially the interior, from which the colorful ship captain seems to have sailed right from the lithographer. A rare Maine advertising box in remarkable condition.
