A peculiar and popular pastime for Victorians, the craft of skeleton leaves entails removing the leaf tissue without damaging the intricately laced veins. Arranged together, the layers of diaphanous leaves create a remarkable effect, especially when seen in three dimensions through a stereopticon viewer.
