Antique folk art wooden hat stand in the form a flapper bathing beauty, c 1920s. Hand-painted, the swimmer wears the mandated conservative full-coverage wool bathing suit, though her sly expression hints at Coney Island seaside mischief. Great color with boldly striped suit and painted features. A charming piece of 1920s folk art which captures the spirit of the era.

Very good antique condition.
