Sold: Baseball Player Printer’s Block
Rare antique copper printer’s block of a baseball player, c. 1880s-1890s. At four inches tall, the early baseball image would have been used to print baseball sports pages, sporting goods advertising, and perhaps even posters advertising games. The copper and wood block displays well and has a handsome vintage patina, though could be polished to a brighter shine should the buyer wish to do so. There is a hole in the back of the block so it can easily be hung on the wall. A rare and unique piece of early baseball history. Sold at auction with no reserve and free shipping.
