Description
Antique quarter-plate ambrotype portrait of a striking gentleman in case, c. 1860s. The image has hand-painted highlights, including his watchchain, green jacquard waistcoast, and devil-may-care necktie knot. The case is original to the image and has aged handsomely, with the sumptuous plum-colored velvet lining faded to perfection.
