Old as Adam Antiques & Americana is curated by owner Adam Irish with an interest in American material culture, self-taught art, and evocative found objects.

New pleasing and peculiar finds land in the store every week, including art, design, furnishings, ephemera, textiles, and curiosities. Although led with an eye open to the unusual and expected, Old as Adam also maintains specific interest areas, including folk art, period signs and advertising, vintage menswear, antique toys, and early photography. We buy.

Part of the Old as Adam store is dedicated to the Found Object Gallery, which every few months reopens with a new collection of objects bound by a different conceptual thread. The thematic collections take a nuanced view of the material past to explore the chance poetics, contemporary relevance, and unintentional wisdom of old things lost and found.
